My name is Hollie Beckett, LMT, CYT. By business is SolShine Bodywork.

Why did you open SolShine Bodywork?

I opened my business in an effort to reach more people seeking healing with the aide of massage therapy. I also really enjoy building relationships with my clients & getting paid my worth.

What services do you offer to the community?

I offer fascia release work, scar tissue work, head, face neck & shoulder sessions as well as stretching work.

What’s your favorite part of your job?

Seeing my clients smiling because they wrap up session work with me feeling the best they have felt in a long time.

What’s your favorite service?

Unlocking stuck energy in the fascia system frees up the muscles. Clients leave feeling amazing & in awe that massage work could be an experience where it's like the practitioner is communicating with the exact needs of their body.

What makes your business unique?

Fascia work is a powerful tool to help the body, but it is demanding & intricate, detailed & as a result, its hard on the therapist's body, so I think there are not a lot of therapist looking to pursue this area of speciality so we as therapists are rare to find. Also, research is starting to support fascia work as a key component in helping the body release tension & heal.

What is one piece of advice you want everyone to know?

Learn your personal behavior/functional patterns. Study yourself! I ask clients to observe their daily patterns, the smallest acts of patterns are probably the ones you are doing the most of throughout the day. You have to learn how to recognize & correct your patterns...and breathing, full body breathing is so important!

Share one fun fact about yourself that people may not know!

I drove across the country when I was 23 with someone I had only known for 2 weeks. We lived 4 blocks from the beach in Bandon, OR where I worked as a golf caddie for the summer at Bandon Dunes.
